Looking Back Those Moments…
Feels like so many things have changed. Did I change? Or it’s just the things around me that changed?
The Past...
For someone that I used to know - I haven't thanked him yet for the memories because I was bitter at first. Well, I can say that it was short but sweet somehow (though he never gave me flowers). At least that's what I felt. But some things must come to an end. He ended it, what can I do? So I set him free even though it was so difficult at the beginning. I’ve cried some nights for it – asking myself what wrong I have done for me to experience such pain. But now, I can say that I finally moved -- not “on” but “forward”. Just acceptance is everything. Now, I am starting a new path. I am living the past behind, and face today and tomorrow with new hopes.
The book is closed, the year is done, the pages full of tasks begun. A little joy, a little care, along with dreams, are written there. This new day brings another year, renewing hope, dispelling fear. And we may find before the end, a deep content, another friend.
-- Arch Ward
The Friendship
I am not that so friendly person when I was a child, and I carried that unfriendly attitude of mine since elementary maybe because of the fear for the fact that some things come and go, like friendship.
Well, I became a little less unfriendly - at least - when I entered high school. High school, yes. Being one of the CAT-I officers in our school, I need to. I know that I can't command a platoon with just a strict look and voice. I knew from the very start that I must befriend them -- for them to obey me, and the most important thing is to gain their respect, not their fear.
I realized that there's nothing wrong being friendly at all when I entered college. I gradually came out of my "shell" and shared smiles to my classmates and schoolmates. I had fun being in SC organization and I felt such fulfillment being a part of giving help for my co-schoolmates regarding school matters and to other people as well. My favorite part there is the annual outreach program where our organization goes out to urban places to give away toys, clothes, books and food for the needy ones. Oh, how I miss those days. One day I’ll pay a visit to my alma mater.
Friends are great!
I met another bunch of real good friends many months ago. I can say that their company is great and when I’m with them, I am just me. No one else. I can be so persistent, so loud, weird and annoying. I can even smile my heart out and laugh like a child. I have learned many things from them. They’re really wonderful so thanks to them.
The Quotes!
Some quotes dedicated to those people (you know who you are, guys!):
Sometimes just a smile on our face,
Can help to make this world a better place.
Stand up for the things that are right.
Try to talk things out instead of fight.
Lend a hand when you can, get involved this is good.
You can help to make a difference in your neighborhood.
-- Robert Alan
If all my friends were to jump off a bridge, I wouldn't jump with them; I'd be at the bottom to catch them.
A friend drops their plans when you're in trouble, shares joy in your accomplishments, feels sad when you're in pain. A friend encourages your dreams and offers advice--but when you don't follow it, they still respect and love you.
-- Doris Wild Helmering
A friend is someone who, upon seeing another friend in immense pain, would rather be the one experiencing the pain, than to have to watch their friend suffer.
-- Amanda Gier
When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.

Ako Mismo
AKO mismo is about YOU…
… making a stand and taking real action for the causes you believe in.
Causes that you yourself can truly pursue to make a real, positive difference to your fellow countryman, to your country.
It is for you who still dare to hope that life for millions doesn’t have to be a hopeless battle against problems like poverty, illiteracy, unemployment.
It is for you who believe that not enough is being done about our country’s problems. And that to do right things, you’ll do them yourself.
It is a movement where you can show your patriotism and compassion, and make these traits infectious.
It’s about action that eradicates hopelessness in every Filipino.
How hard will this be to accomplish? Well that will be entirely up to you.
In AKO MISMO you get to choose the cause you wish to pursue. No cause is too small as long as it is a noble one. All we ask is that you make a pledge to do it.
You yourself can pledge anything: from teaching English to your yaya’s kid, to making sure that your barangay is dengue-free.
Or make a pledge to do your part in ending corruption, prostitution, illegal drugs or the inhumane treatment of animals. The choice is yours.
No matter how small, as long as you pledge that you yourself will take action, it’s sure to make a big difference.
Giving more hope for Filipinos to stop merely surviving, and start living. And it starts with you.
MISMO yan.

Life Is...
Life is like a gamble
Where some things are at stake
There are times you may encounter some troubles
There are times where some difficulties are hard to take
Life is like a basketball game
If you missed the ball
Then an opportunity just grasped out of your hands
And it would be the other’s gain
To a child, life’s like a fairy tale
Wishes granted, dreams were fulfilled
To a child, life’s a big play
Nothing’s so much to worry, nothing so much to be afraid
Like is like a movie
You can be in any roles you want
You can be in a place you dream to be
But wrong turn means more takes to be done
Truly, our lives has many ups and downs
But don’t let your weaknesses and failures turn you down
Make it as an inspiration and a motivation for you to succeed
With God’s help, there’s nothing you can’t achieve
Where some things are at stake
There are times you may encounter some troubles
There are times where some difficulties are hard to take
Life is like a basketball game
If you missed the ball
Then an opportunity just grasped out of your hands
And it would be the other’s gain

Earth, Water, Fire and Wind
Earth is my greatest home
Where every living thing roams
Land that is full of colorful things
That the mankind must unite in nature preserving
Water for rivers, seas, lakes and oceans
A symbol of life that should not be ignore even for once
It’s for everyone’s duty and call
Because the benefits of it is for all
Fire as a symbol of warm hearts
As warm as the welcome of a brotherhood’s arms
A flambeau in every life
And a hope for tomorrow in sight
Wind has called my name
Even though unseen, but eases those pain
A sweet music that floats in the air
That promises everything will be okay
Where every living thing roams
Land that is full of colorful things
That the mankind must unite in nature preserving
Water for rivers, seas, lakes and oceans
A symbol of life that should not be ignore even for once
It’s for everyone’s duty and call
Because the benefits of it is for all
Fire as a symbol of warm hearts
As warm as the welcome of a brotherhood’s arms
A flambeau in every life
And a hope for tomorrow in sight
Wind has called my name
Even though unseen, but eases those pain
A sweet music that floats in the air
That promises everything will be okay
Finally Home
I have seen so many faces
I have been into many places
Different walks of life I have seen
But still confused on what’s been missing
Searching for the empty part that fills my heart
Hoping that one day I will never be apart
Apart from someone I can call “home”
From each sad and happy moments I’m on
Where in the world that someone could be?
I keep myself asking if it’s meant to be
But I know that somehow, someday I’ll find that someone
And be contented and loved for my searching is done
I have been into many places
Different walks of life I have seen
But still confused on what’s been missing
Searching for the empty part that fills my heart
Hoping that one day I will never be apart
Apart from someone I can call “home”
From each sad and happy moments I’m on
Where in the world that someone could be?
I keep myself asking if it’s meant to be
But I know that somehow, someday I’ll find that someone
And be contented and loved for my searching is done
Hand in Hand
Sometimes you may feel
Your problems are too much to deal
Sometimes you’ll see that the heavy loads are all on you
And you’ll say, you’re in way too blue
Try to look up in the sky
Just maybe you can seek some light
Never hesitate to call my name
Always bear in your mind that I am your friend
Never ever surrender from all the hardships
For every tomorrow there’s hope for you to keep
Never give those doubts and losing a chance
Take it as a challenge and your sorrow will be gone
I will help you face this world, hand in hand
There is a way of hope you can look upon
Never to leave you on your life’s journey
In this world that is full of uncertainties
Your problems are too much to deal
Sometimes you’ll see that the heavy loads are all on you
And you’ll say, you’re in way too blue
Try to look up in the sky
Just maybe you can seek some light
Never hesitate to call my name
Always bear in your mind that I am your friend
Never ever surrender from all the hardships
For every tomorrow there’s hope for you to keep
Never give those doubts and losing a chance
Take it as a challenge and your sorrow will be gone

There is a way of hope you can look upon
Never to leave you on your life’s journey
In this world that is full of uncertainties

A Little Hope
Hiding from the shadows
Trying to conceal the feeling of sorrow
Alone and thinking why I am always left behind
Still the emptiness fills my disoriented mind
Heart as cold as the lonely night
Feelings of encumber grasping me with tight
I try to scream but no voice came out
What I can feel are the sadness and doubts
Believing in promises and dreams without a foundation
Hopes that turned out to be just illusions
Tricking me in such a world covered with fantasies
Only to discovered life has also its miseries
Can anybody hear me?
Can anybody please help me?
Help me stand in this life for me to see
That I am still needed and that I am free
